Our conceptual program is called “Generation G”, a 16 week green construction program for Detroit Residence. The goal is to introduce sustainability concepts such as sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, material selections, and indoor environmental quality to residence that are learning construction skills. Each year a different focal topic will be introduced relating to sustainable design and construction. The 2018 focus was “Green Roofs”.
